William Rancic was born in Orland Park, Illinois and grew up in Chicago. He was born to Gail and Edward Rancic, who were of Irish and Croatian decent. His parents were both successful educators. His father was a school superintendent and college professor, who passed away from cancer in 1999. Bill’s mother was also in the school system having worked as a school principal and she continues to work as an adjunct professor. He has three sisters and the family reports that Bill was always a good son and brother, who believed in working hard and achieving goals that he set for himself. While working for Donald Trump in 2006, Bill met his wife, Giuliana DePandi (born in Naples, Italy) on The Apprentice. They got married in 2007. Bill and Giuliana both looked forward to having children, but they soon learned that they had serious fertility problems. Even after failed fertility attempts and the discovery of breast cancer in Giuliana, the couple remained strong and in 2012, they welcomed a beautiful son through vitro fertilization.
