Raven Symone has been acting since a very young age. She has become known for her television acting career as the youngest cast member on The Cosby Show at the age of 4. Raven grew up in a household with both parents and her brother. She has been working she was an infant. She modeled for a local modeling agency, Atlanta’s Young Faces, Inc. and appeared in local print ads. By the age of 2, she became a miniature model with Ford and appeared in numerous advertisements for brands, such as Jell-O and Cool Whip. Raven was an actress from 1989 on The Cosby Show, until it ended in 1992. Not too long after this, she was cast on Hangin with Mr. Cooper in 1993 as Nicole Lee. In 2003, Raven starred in That’s So Raven, which was a Disney Channel series. The show was a great success and had high ratings. It was the first original series on the Disney Channel to reach 100 episodes. Raven’s role in the show, gave her two Emmy Award Nominations, as well as other honors. Raven’s musical career began in 1993. She was the youngest person to sign with MCA Records. The record company let her go after her first album, Here’s to New Dreams, did not do well. She revived her music career, after starring in The Cheetah Girl movies. She recorded her second album, This is My Time under Hollywood Records, which is a Disney company. This album reached No. 51 on the Billboard 200 chart. Besides her own records, she has appeared as an artist on a number of Disney soundtracks for the Cheetah Girls and That’s So Raven.
Raven Symone’s film career is targeted towards a younger audience. She has appeared on big screen movies such as Dr. Dolittle, Dr. Dolittle 2 and College Road Trip. She has also made her mark on made for television films, such as For One night, Revenge of the Bridesmaids, as well as animated movie, Tinker Bell.
