Dwyane Wade was a basketball player from his youth. He grew up in Chicago where he attended high school at H.L. Richards in Oak Lawn. While there he excelled more in football than in basketball. That is, until the summer before his junior year, where he grew 4 inches and honed his basketball skills. Dwyane became a highly sought after player during his senior year with colleges like Marquette, DePaul and Illinois state all scouting him for their teams. Eventually Dwyane went to Marquette where he spend his freshmen year practicing and watching from the sidelines but not playing in the games due to his status as a partial qualifier due to his low ACT scores. Eventually Dwyane lead the team to the final four in 2002. During this time Dwyane’s wife and high school sweetheart, Siohvaughn, gave birth to their first child.
