Lil Romeo owes his success to his father – Popular Rapper and producer, Master P. Lil Romeo was signed to his father’s record Label “No Limit” and in 2001 he released his most successful selling album with the hit single “My Baby” which sold over 200,000 copies on its first week and topped the billboards. The debut hit single My Baby became certified platinum and the album too was very successful becoming certified gold. Recently it was recorded that as of 2015 the album has sold 1.4 million copies and has now received platinum certification. The bucket loads of cash that the album and single brought to Lil Romeo, coupled with his career acting contributed to his current net worth.

Born in New Orleans to Rapper Master P and Former Rapper Sonnya C, it is no surprise that by age 5 he had been signed on to his father’s record label, “No Limit”. He made his debut with a rap he made for his father. His career in Music, however, did not pick up until he was 10 years old when he recorded his first CD “Lil Rome” and in 2001 he saw major success in the music industry when “My Baby” went platinum. He followed it up with another album, Game Time, but it did not hit as big as the one before.

In 2003, Lil Romeo Joined the world of movies and TV. He starred in the film ‘Honey’ which starred Jessica Alba. He also voiced an episode of the animated series Static Shock- he performed the soundtrack as well. He later signed with Nickelodeon to co-star with his father in the Series ‘Romeo.’ Both father and son worked together on another movie in 2007 called uncle P. He has continued to make appearances in many different movies and series including acting as a rapper accused of murder in a CBS series in 2010 and playing a role in the successful 2011 film ‘Jumping the Broom.’

In 2006, Lil Romeo was invited to the Reebok-sponsored ABCD basketball camp where he got to rub shoulders with some of the best players in the NBA. Romeo’s basketball career has been subject to criticism with Wall Street Journal claiming he is only being favored because he knows influential people. But the fact remains he has played Basketball at college level even being awarded a basketball scholarship by The University of Southern California – USC.

Lil Romeo has also competed in the famous dancing show dancing with the stars. Earlier in Season 2 he withdrew because of injury but joined again in Season Twelve where he was partnered with professional dancer Chelsie Hightower. They finished in the top 5.

In January 2015 Lil Romeo released his first mixtape which is a collaboration with his new group Money Mafia which includes His father, Young June, Eastwood, Gansta, Play Beezy and many more including a feature from Lil Wayne.
