Net Worth History of Sylvester Stallone
Although his childhood was not easy, with a little luck and a lot of hard work, the Italian Stallion soon found himself on the Hollywood A-list, which is where he remained for many years (which is a huge contributor to his total net worth).
“Rocky” was released in 1976 and it is a famous movie that Stallone not only wrote, but also played the starring role. In 1982, John James Rambo made his first big screen appearance. Between the two franchises, Sylvester either portrayed Rambo or Rocky in a total of ten (10) movies.
The sixth installment of the “Rocky” movies was an immediate hit and the box office grossed 155.7 million dollars around the world, which significantly added to the net worth of Sylvester Stallone.
In addition to these huge successes, Stallone also appeared in other films (such as: “Cliffhanger”, “Tango and Cash”, “The Specialist” and “Demolition Man”) that performed well in the American box offices, but they were a smash hit overseas and grossed significantly more at the ticket offices.
He not only wrote (or co-wrote) all the “Rocky” movies, but also “Driven”, “Cliffhanger” and “Cobra”. He directed many of the “Rambo” and “Rocky” movies as well as “Staying Alive” and “Paradise Alley”.
In more recent years, Sylvester Stallone has written many of and starred in the “Expendables” series.
About Sylvester Stallone
Sylvester Stallone spent his youth between Maryland and New York because he was from a broken home (parents divorced when he was just nine years old) and he spent several years in a variety of foster homes. It is said that his drive and focus on acting came from a desire to get noticed and be liked as well as accepted from strangers in the foster homes.
Stallone’s mother, Jacqueline “Jackie” Stallone, suffered complication during labor and doctors needed to use forceps during his birthing process. Due to misuse of these tools, a nerve was accidentally severed and paralysis was caused on his face (especially his chin, tongue and lip area). This accident added to Stallone’s signature snarl look.
Stallone was married three (3) times. He married Sasha Czack when he was 28 years old (they were together about 11 years) and then he married Brigitte Nielson at the end of 1985 (which only lasted a couple of years). In 1997, he married his current wife, Jennifer Flavin and together they have three (3) daughters: Sophia Rose, Sistene Rose and Scarlet Rose.
Stallone has several tattoos that he started getting in 2010 to cover up the scars on his body that were acquired from years of high action film starring. The first tattoo is a portrait of his current wife, Flavin. In addition, he also sports three beautiful rose to represent one for each of his daughters.
Stallone has a few nicknames with “the Italian Stallion” being the most famous. He also answers to “Michael” and “Binky”.
He considers oil painting a hobby and he admires the man and the work of Leonardo Da Vinci. Stallone is also an outspoken representative of the political Republican Party.
